Comments, Ahoy!

Paper Napkin points out it’s National De-lurking Week! There’s only a few days left! Act now!

As Chairman Mao said before he killed every last dissenting voice, ‘Let the hundred flowers bloom!’

We know you’re out there… tell us about yourself.

Alright. I’m Rebecca, I read your blog… I’m a senior in high school, and I can’t think of anything clever or humorous to say right now.

Well, you know me as beep. I am a long time lurker and long time poster.

I am an australian female atheist who manages to post controversial comments without really trying to be controversial. When I try to be controversial, I can even shock my close friends. (Not sure if that is a personal recommendation or not.)

I decided a long time ago that there was more to life than just passively accepting whatever my culture threw at me. So, I learnt to question early and often.

Culture, and all that it entails, is like smoke and mirrors. My journey has been trying to peer through the smoke and spot the mirrors.

    RE: Mao

There is no freedom if it is only the freedom to agree. (And you can quote me on that.)

    Here I is.

Name’s Butch, atheist living in the heart of the Bible Belt.

Been lurking since the beginning, and I made a brief post about you as well. I enjoy both the reasoned discussions and the way they are engaged. Keep it up.

Well, I’ve been a reader and a poster for a while. I’m a psychiatrist, mainly treating children who are trying to recover from abuse and neglect. I was raised by an atheist father and agnostic mother, but became a Christian in my first year of college. I love to learn, and find the interaction on this blog fascinating on more than one level.

I have commented a few times so I don’t really lurk - but I do sometimes (that sounds stupid I know).

My name is Society VS, I am person who follows the teachings of Jesus, started a group in my city to help the poor, work at a university, and love the dialogue that comes out in here - I think it’s a great group discussion.
